Your Destination Wedding in Valencia
Valencia brings together Mediterranean beaches, historic streets, contemporary architecture and a relaxed local atmosphere. It is a welcoming, easy to navigate city where your guests can enjoy great food, sunshine and plenty to explore before and after the wedding.
Here's what makes Valencia a wonderful destination for your wedding
Valencia combines Mediterranean charm, historic architecture and a relaxed coastal atmosphere, giving your wedding the feeling of a true Spanish escape.
Venues and services can often offer better value than in Madrid, Barcelona or Mallorca, without compromising on atmosphere or quality.
The countryside around Valencia is filled with traditional masías, orange groves and gardens that feel peaceful while remaining close to the city.
Valencia is the birthplace of paella, with a strong food culture built around fresh local ingredients, rice dishes and long Mediterranean meals.
You can celebrate near the Mediterranean while giving your guests the restaurants, culture and convenience of a lively city.
Pros and cons of a destination wedding in Valencia
I'll always give you the honest picture. Here's what I tell couples when they ask me about Valencia.
What I love about it
- Wedding budgets can often go further here than in some of Spain’s better known destinations.
- Traditional masías, beachfront hotels, historic buildings and contemporary spaces are all available.
- Plenty of sunshine and a long season for outdoor weddings.
- Sunshine, outdoor dining and a relaxed pace make the whole celebration feel like a holiday.
- Your guests can combine a seaside break with culture, shopping and excellent restaurants.
What to keep in mind
- Valencia has good direct flights from some European cities, but guests travelling from further away will usually need a connection.
- July and August can feel intense, particularly for guests who are not accustomed to Mediterranean heat and humidity.
- Fallas in March: the festival is an incredible experience, but accommodation, traffic, noise and venue availability can become more complicated.
Valencia Wedding Venue Inspiration
These are just a few examples of what Valencia has to offer, but do not feel limited by them. I will help you explore options that suit your vision and the experience you want to create.
A striking architectural venue in the City of Arts and Sciences, with sculptural interiors, spacious terraces and panoramic views across Valencia. A memorable choice for couples looking for a modern and unconventional setting.
A peaceful Mediterranean estate surrounded by the rice fields of the Albufera Natural Park. Its gardens, rustic architecture and natural surroundings create a relaxed setting with a strong connection to the Valencian landscape.
A seventeenth century country estate surrounded by orange groves, combining traditional architecture with contemporary interiors. Its gardens and versatile reception spaces work beautifully for both outdoor and indoor celebrations.
A century old Valencian masía surrounded by extensive gardens and working orange groves. With elegant architecture and several independent celebration spaces, it offers plenty of flexibility for each part of the wedding.
A characterful estate surrounded by orange fields, olive trees and open countryside. Its rustic industrial design, spacious gardens and glass reception room make it a versatile setting for weddings in any season.
A traditional twentieth century Valencian masía with leafy gardens and several outdoor areas for ceremonies and receptions. Its natural surroundings and proximity to the city make it a practical choice for a relaxed garden wedding.
The best time to get married in Valencia
Spring brings comfortable temperatures, green gardens and plenty of sunshine. April and May are particularly lovely for outdoor celebrations. March can also be pleasant, although the Fallas festival makes the city much busier around the middle of the month.
June is one of the best months for a summer wedding, with long evenings and plenty of light. July and August are hotter and more humid, so later ceremonies, shaded spaces and good air conditioning become especially important.
The sea remains warm and the softer light is beautiful for outdoor celebrations. September is especially popular, although Valencia can experience sudden heavy rain in autumn, so I always make sure the venue has an indoor option that you genuinely like.
Winters are generally mild, with many bright and sunny days, although evenings can feel cool. This season works well for city weddings, intimate celebrations and couples who prefer quieter dates, but beach weather cannot be guaranteed.
