Why Get Married in Mallorca

Here's what makes Mallorca a wonderful destination for your wedding

Mallorca offers much more than beautiful beaches. Its landscapes, architecture and relaxed island atmosphere create a setting where your wedding can feel like a true escape.

Easy to reach from Europe

Palma Airport offers direct flights from many European cities, particularly during spring, summer and early autumn.

Venues full of character

Traditional Mallorcan fincas, clifftop estates, historic castles and seaside hotels give you a wide variety of options across the island.

A complete wedding getaway

Your guests can combine the celebration with beaches, boat trips, picturesque villages and local food, turning the wedding into a longer shared experience.

Incredible natural scenery

The Mediterranean coastline, Tramuntana mountains, olive groves and hidden valleys provide beautiful settings for outdoor ceremonies and dinners.

Weighing the Options

Pros and cons of a destination wedding in Mallorca

I'll always give you the honest picture. Here's what I tell couples when they ask me about Mallorca.

What I love about it

  • Beautiful natural settings combining the sea, mountains and countryside.
  • A wide variety of distinctive venues, from traditional fincas to clifftop hotels.
  • Plenty of sunshine and a long season for outdoor weddings.
  • Excellent connections with many European cities.
  • A relaxed island atmosphere that makes the celebration feel like a real getaway.

What to keep in mind

  • Direct flights are mainly available from Europe, so guests travelling from other parts of the world will usually need a connecting flight.
  • Flights, accommodation and car hire can become expensive during the summer.
  • July and August can be very hot, crowded and busy with tourists.
  • As everything must reach the island, some suppliers, materials and specialist services may cost more than on the mainland.

Timing It Right

The best time to get married in Mallorca

APR – MAY
Spring

Spring brings mild temperatures, green landscapes and blooming gardens. May is one of the best months for an outdoor wedding, although popular venues can book up well in advance.

JUN – AUG
Summer

June offers long days, reliable sunshine and warm evenings. July and August can be extremely hot and crowded, so a late ceremony and plenty of shade are essential for guest comfort.

SEP – OCT
Autumn

September remains warm and is ideal for enjoying the sea, while October is quieter and more comfortable. Rain and storms become more likely as autumn progresses, so a strong indoor option is important.

NOV – MAR
Winter

Winter is peaceful and generally mild during the day, although many seasonal businesses close and flight options become more limited. It can suit a small celebration, particularly in Palma or at a hotel that remains open throughout the year.
