- Summers (June to early September) can be very hot and dry, which some international guests may find difficult.
- No coastline, so it's not the right pick if a beach is non-negotiable for you.
- The best venues and suppliers can book up early in peak season, so I recommend deciding early.
- Venue costs can run a little higher here than in smaller Spanish cities.

The best time to get married in Madrid
Mild temperatures, longer days and blooming gardens make spring one of the best times for a wedding in Madrid. May is particularly popular, so venues tend to book up early.
June offers sunshine and warm evenings, while July and August can be extremely hot. If you choose midsummer, an evening celebration is usually the most comfortable option for your guests.
September and early October bring warm temperatures, softer light and pleasant evenings. The changing colours also create a beautiful backdrop, while the weather usually remains comfortable for guests.
Winter is colder, particularly after sunset, but Madrid still enjoys many clear and sunny days. It can be a great option for an elegant indoor wedding, with better availability and potentially lower prices.
